Acquisition results in wider DAQ product offering

The combined range of Data Translation and Measurement Computing caters for the wide requirements of industrial data logging and measurement.

From July 1, 2016, Data Translation Germany will also sell the measurement products made by Measurement Computing (MCC).

After the acquisition of Data Translation, manufacturer and provider of data acquisition products for the test and measurement market, by Measurement Computing (MCC) at the end of last year, the German subsidiary of Data Translation will take over the sale and distribution of MCC products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as of 7/1/2016.

Measurement Computing offers easy-to-integrate data acquisition modules with USB, Ethernet, Wireless and PCI/PCIe interfaces as well as autonomous data loggers for a wide range of applications. In addition, software is available that is perfectly adapted to the devices, such as the well-known DASYLab, DAQami, or TracerDAQ.

Winfried Klass, Managing Director at Data Translation GmbH, headquartered in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, emphasises that users can now purchase the products from two of the most important brands offering data acquisition technology, including the associated support, from a single provider. “The product ranges of both companies complement each other perfectly. While Measurement Computing specifically designs and manufactures easy-to-use low-cost devices for PC-based data acquisition, Data Translation offers high-accuracy measurement modules for high-speed and simultaneous data acquisition, available with USB or Ethernet interfaces and with ARM processors. By providing products both from MCC and from Data Translation, we will be able to better serve the needs of our customers for low-cost measurement instruments and data loggers as well as for high-quality measurement modules for sophisticated applications, such as sound and vibration analysis.”
