Senior MIRA Technology Park manager takes on role at the UK science park association providing a voice for independent parks.
Dave Hockton, Senior Operations Manager at MIRA Technology Park, has been made a Director at the United Kingdom Science Park Association, UKSPA.
UKSPA is the authoritative body on the planning, development and the creation of Science Parks and other innovation locations that are facilitating the development and management of innovative, high growth, knowledge-based organisations.
As one of four newly-appointed Directors, Dave Hockton will support the aims of the UKSPA association with a voice for the independent parks.
Paul Wright, CEO of UKSPA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Dave Hockton to the UKSPA board and look forward to working with him for the next three years. As a key part of the running of MIRA Technology Park, he will bring a fresh perspective to the management of the Association.”
Dave Hockton, Senior Operations Manager at MIRA Technology Park, said: “It’s an honour to be named a Director at the UKSPA. I’ve been an active member of the organisation for several years and I look forward to propelling UKSPA forward and continue to raise the profile of the high-standard Science Parks up and down the country. As Director, I’ll have the opportunity to increase the awareness of MIRA Technology Park and also fly the flag for the independent Science and Technology parks across the country.”
