Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin are actively recruiting in 2023 to bolster their future engineering workforce
Aston Martin is increasing employment at its Gaydon headquarters with the creation of more than 100 jobs in its manufacturing facility as it prepares to unleash its next generation of sportscars. During the company’s 110th anniversary year, the car maker is supporting its ambitious plans with a recruitment drive that includes an offer of full-time permanent employment to agency staff currently working at its sites on a temporary basis, including those who have supported the ramp-up of DBX707 production in St Athan, following the successful launch of the model in 2022.
Simon Smith of Aston Martin Lagonda says that as the company prepares to ramp-up production and launch the first of its next generation of sports cars, there is an opportunity to increase the team at Gaydon as well as offering high-quality permanent employment opportunities to existing agency staff.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is also driving recruitment for its 2023 apprenticeship programme and beyond. The programme offers outstanding training and development opportunities for people with a wide range of educational backgrounds, interests and prior experience, designed to match candidates’ preferred learning styles and future career aspirations.
At the end of their initial training, Apprentices may have the option to stay on and progress to higher qualifications; candidates who achieve particularly high standards throughout their training may be offered a permanent job with the company.
For sixth-form students seeking an alternative to university courses, Rolls-Royce offers Degree Apprenticeships in partnership with nearby Universities.
Closing soon, the application window runs until 19th March but Rolls-Royce also offers openings to undergraduates whose degree course includes an industrial placement. Applications for these programmes will open in October 2023 for a 2024 intake.
